Smart lighting technology and controls are now one of the best ways to save your business energy and money. There are a number of ways you can conduct low-cost measures with your lighting.
Sensors
PIR Sensors
Recessed or surface mounted PIR lighting control sensors. High-performance sensors for switched and digital dimming, ensuring maximum energy savings and the lighting is on when needed.
Suitable for office, education, circulation areas, healthcare & industrial applications.
MICROWAVE sensors:
Standalone semi-recessed or surface mounted microwave sensors. High-performance directional sensors for switches with inbuilt photocell, ensuring maximum energy savings and the lighting is on when needed.
Suitable for larger spaces such as classrooms, conference rooms and longer racking aisles.
Stand-alone lighting controls:
Install occupancy sensors to automatically turn off lights when no one is present and back on when people return. Storage rooms, back-of-house spaces, meeting rooms, and other low-traffic areas are often good places to start.
Occupancy sensors can save between 15 and 30 per cent on lighting costs. And don’t forget — even good equipment can be installed incorrectly, so make sure the sensor isn’t installed behind a coat rack, door, bookcase, etc. It must be able to “see” an approaching person’s motion to turn on the light as they enter an unlit room.
A lighting control system is an intelligent network-based lighting control solution that incorporates communication between various system inputs and outputs related to lighting control with the use of one or more central computing devices.
